A new Kifu(shogi gamerecord) has been added to Kifu Database. Watanabe won the game in 101 moves. Sente transfers his Rook to the central file in spite that Watanabe usually plays Ibisha since Gote's G-3b at the second move is early. The move of Sente's left Gold is remarkable. It goes up to the front line. It's usual to locate both Gold generals near the King to protect. You can replay the game by clicking either of the links below;

Thanks for your comment, bakashogi.
Early G-3b is not a mistake, but a psychological strategy only for Ibisha specialists.
Every professional player knows well Watanabe usually chooses Ibisha and rarely adopts Furibisha. Early G-3b invites him to choose Furibisha which is reratively unfamiliar to him. If Iijima's opponent is Furibisha specialist such as Fujii, Kubo, etc..., I don't think he makes a move of G-3b so early at the second move.-

Thank you for this explanation. I understand the psychologic aspect of this choice.

Should we consider the early G3b move as a mistake?
To my opinion, this move is mandatory if there's an Ibisha attack. But maybe is there another reason to play it so early. May you give your opinion, please?
